How to change your plan
You can change your plan whenever you want. You can also switch from monthly billing to annual billing (1 or 2 years), or vice versa. Some rules apply to annual billing. They are explained in the Changing your plan with annual billing section.
To change your plan :
- Log into your account.
- Select the billing period you want at the top of the Change your plan section: Monthly, Annual or 2 years. With Annual or 2 years, also choose your contact tier from the drop-down list of the plan you want.
- Click the gear icon on the upper right corner of your account and select "My plan" in the menu.

or
From your Dashboard, in My plan section, click the Switch plan button.
- Click the Choose or Schedule this plan button under the plan you want.

- Follow the steps in the pop-up window that appears: review your selection, enter your payment information if needed, then check the summary in the Confirmation step. The final price, including taxes and any applicable discount, is shown there. Click Confirm and pay to finish.
With monthly billing, when going from a free to a paid plan, the upgrade will be effective immediately.
When upgrading your current paid plan (going from a Basic to a Plus plan, for example), with monthly billing, from the grid or the Switch to the [x] plan button in the Active plan box, you can decide to upgrade your plan now, or for the upcoming period. If you make the change immediately, you’ll receive an invoice for the difference between your new plan and your previous plan. A payment confirmation will be sent to you by email at the billing email address in your account.
When downgrading your plan (going from a Pro plan to a Basic plan, for example), the change will be effective only for the upcoming billing period.
Changing your plan with annual billing
Switching to annual billing
If you are on the Free plan, annual billing starts immediately. The total amount for your term is paid in a single payment.
If you have a paid plan with monthly billing, the change is scheduled: annual billing starts at your next billing period. Applicable taxes and discounts will be calculated at that time.
Upgrading your plan mid-term
- In the Active plan box, click Switch to the [X] plan.
- Choose the plan and tier you want. Only plans higher than your current plan can be slected.

- Choose when the change should take effect:
- Upgrade now: the diffrence is charged immediately, prorated based on the remaining months of your term (including the current month).
- Shedule for [date]: the change will take effect on your renewal date, with no immediate charge.
- Confirm the change.
Upgrading does not change the end date of your term. Your prices remain the ones in effect at the start of your term.
Downgrading your plan
With annual billing, you cannot switch to a lower plan right away. However, you can schedule this change using the Schedule this plan button. It will take effect on your renewal date.
If your account uses features that are not compatible with the selected plan (for example, too many contacts, custom fields or users with custom permissions), the scheduled change shows the Action required label. The conditions to meet before your renewal date are listed there.
Changing or canceling a scheduled change
A scheduled change appears in the Scheduled new plan section of the Plans page, along with its effective date. Click Edit or Cancel to change it at any time before that date. If you schedule a new change, it replaces the previous one.
Switching back to monthly billing
Turn off automatic renewal using the toggle in the Active plan box. Your plan remains active until the end of your term, then automatically switches to monthly billing based on your number of contacts at that time. You can also click Schedule a new plan to choose the plan that will apply.
Do I need to change my plan if I want to add contacts?
Do you have a free plan at the moment?
Since it’s impossible to have more than 250 contacts on a free account, it will be inevitable to choose another plan if you wish to add contacts and will go over the limit. If you do go over the limit of the free plan when importing a list, the system will invite you to choose between our paying plans and enter your payment informations to complete the importation.
Note: If you have a subscription form on your website or social medias, we suggest you upgrade to a paying plan (Basic, Plus or Pro) before reaching the limit of the free plan. When going over the limit of the free plan because of subscriptions from a form, you’ll be informed by email and your mailings will automatically be blocked until you select another plan. Choosing a paid plan before reaching the limit of the free plan will prevent your mailings from being blocked unnecessarily. You can choose a paid plan with monthly or annual biling.
You already have a paid plan with monthly billing?
If you simply need to add new contacts to your account and move to a higher contact level, simply import your contacts, accept the importation and the adjustment will be billed automatically. To learn more on the effect of contacts movement on your invoice, click here.
On annual billing?
You don't need to change plans. You have two options:
Let your tier adjust automatically: If your number of contacts goes over your tier (for example, during an import), your account automatically moves up to the next tier for the rest of your term. The difference is prorated based on the remaining months.
Increase your tier in advance:
- In the plans grid, select a higher tier form the drop-down list of your current plan.
- Click Schedule this plan. The Increase your contact tier pop-up window appears.
- Choose Upgrade now to get the new tier today and pay only the difference for the remaining months, or Schedule for [month] [year] to apply it at your renewal.
- Confirm the change.
Your plan, term and renewal date stay the same.
