Why use tags

Tags allow you to classify your contact groups based on various criteria, making them easier to find and manage. For example, you can create tags based on audience type (clients, prospects, members), acquisition source (form, import, event), or department (sales, marketing, HR).

You can assign multiple tags to a group, and those tags can later be used as filters in the group list. This helps you speed up searches and better organize your communications.

Add tags to a group

To add tags to a group:

  1. Go to your list of groups.
  2. Click on the + Tag icon below the group name.
  3. In the pop-up window, type the name of the tag you want to add.
    If it already exists, select it from the list. Otherwise, click Create a new tag.
  4. Click Confirm to save your selection.

You can also add tags by clicking on Tag list in the groups table. Simply enter the desired tag, then select Create a new tag.

Good to know

When creating a new group in other sections of the application (for example, when importing contacts or within certain configurations), you can also assign tags to it right from the start.

Remove tags from a group

To remove a tag from a group:

  1. Click the small X on the tag directly from the group list.

  2. You can also delete them by clicking on Tag list, then opening the action menu icone to the right of the desired tag and selecting Delete.

Filter your groups using tags

To view only certain groups based on their tags:

  1. Click the Filter by tag button at the top of the group list.
  2. Select one or more tags from the list.
  3. The group list will automatically update based on your selection.
  4. Click Deselect all to clear the filter.

In addition to organizing your groups in the list, tags can also be useful in other contexts. For example:

  • When setting up a mailing, filter your groups by tags (e.g., VIP Clients) to quickly target the desired audience.
  • When importing contacts, apply a tag to a new group (e.g., Webinar) so you can easily find it later.

You can view the full list of tags, create new ones, rename, or delete them by clicking the Tag list link at the top of the group section.

Create a tag

In the tag window, enter a new name in the Add a new tag to your list field, then click Create a new tag.

Rename a tag

  1. Click the action menu icone  to the right of a tag.
  2. Select Rename.
  3. Edit the name, then click the checkmark to confirm.

Delete a tag

  1. Click the action menu icone to the right of the tag name.
  2. Choose Delete.
  3. Confirm the action by clicking Delete tag.

If the tag was only associated with one group, it will be permanently deleted. You’ll need to recreate it if you want to use it again.

Display of tags

To show or hide tags in the group list:

  • Use the Tags toggle located at the top of the table.
  • If a group has multiple tags, a See more link will let you view them all.
